Former Pittsburgh Steelers Player Arrested

A former first-round pick of the Steelers finds himself in legal trouble.

ATHENS, GA — Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Jarvis Jones was arrested Friday by Athens-Clarke County Police. He was charged with reckless driving and released on $2,400 bond.

Jones was the Steelers' first-round pick (17th overall) in the 2013 NFL draft. He played four seasons with the team before concluding his NFL career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2017.

Jones currently is the Georgia Bulldogs' player connection coordinator under coach Kirby Smart. He was a two-time All-American player for the team before the Steelers drafted him.

At least a dozen Bulldogs players have been charged with moving violations since the team won the championship in January, ESPN reported.
