Free N95 Masks: Where They'll Be Available Around Pittsburgh

Here the places where you can pick up free N95 masks, the best mask available to stop the spread of COVID-19.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Although some free N95 masks could be available within a few days, the widespread rollout of the federal government distribution program won't occur until next week.

About 400 million masks are on their way to pharmacies across the country from the Strategic National Stockpile, a federal storehouse of emergency medical equipment and drugs. A three-mask per person limit exists.

The N95 masks can filter out more than 95 percent of air particles and offer the highest protection level against COVID-19 spread, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
