Gene Kelly Awards: 2018 Nominees Announced

PITTSBURGH, PA - It’s a day high school actors and actresses, musicians, production people and their teachers and parents have been apprehensively anticipating. Nominations for the Gene Kelly Awards for Excellence in High School Musical Theater were announced Wednesday.

The awards were launched in 1991 as a means to recognize and encourage student achievement and to focus the attention of the community and school districts on the importance of musical theater and arts education.

Patterned after Broadway’s Tony Awards, this year’s Kelly Awards will be held May 26 at the Benedum Center, Downtown.
