Gordo's Tacos & Tequila Mt. Washington's Latest Eatery

There's a new addition to the numerous Mt. Washington dining options.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Several years in the making, Mt. Washington's newest restaurant finally has debuted. Gordo’s Tacos & Tequila now is open in the Shiloh Street business district near the Monongahela Incline.

The menu features Mexico City-style street food with an emphasis on braised and smoked meats.

Owner Brian Gorder crafted the restaurant from a condemned building that formerly housed a tattoo parlor, a barbershop and two apartments. The renovated structure now is an eatery with two bars, seating for 120 and large windows and garage doors that will be open when the weather permits.
