Hall & Oates, Train Concert Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - Hall & Oates have teamed up with Train for a co-headlining summer tour that will stop in Pittsburgh Saturday at PPG Paints Arena. Each act will perform a complete set, then team up for the finale.
Rock & Roll Hall-of-Famers Daryl Hall and John Oates have had numerous hits dating back to the early 1970s: “She’s Gone,” “Sara Smile,” “Private Eyes,” “Maneater,” “Kiss On My List” and more.
It's their first time the duo has toured with Train, the San francisco-based band known for hits such as "Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)" and "Hey, Soul Sister,” “Drive By,” and”Meet Virginia.”

- Three Rivers Arts Festival, June 7-10, noon-9 p.m., various Downtown locations
The festival’s second and final weekend will bring some impressive musical acts to the Dollar Bank Main Stage in Point State Park: Sidewalk Chalk, Valerie June, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder and The Mavericks. - Slayer, June 9, 5 p.m., KeyBank Pavilion, Burgettstown.
The slash metal superstars - considered one of the founding “big four" bands of the genre along with Metallica, Megadeath and Anthrax, are on their farewell tour after nearly four decades of performing. They’ll hit Burgettstown along with the aforementioned Anthrax, Lamb of God, Behemoth and Testament. Prepare to leave the pavilion with your ears ringing.

- Panera Pup Walk, June 10, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., The Waterfront
The 9th annual Panera Pup Walk is highlighted by a 1-mile walk led by Charlie and Latasha Batch will depart Town Center at 10 a..m. The rest of the afternoon will include raffles, music, puppy pools, a cutest pet photo contest and more.
Human walkers are free but Panera Pup Walk canine registrations are $25 for the first dog and $5 for each additional dog. All pups receive a goodie bag at the end of the walk.
- Supernatural Convention, June 8-10, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., David L. Lawrence Convention Center, Downtown
