'Hamilton' Finales, Home Show Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - This is it, Pittsburgh. The spectacular month-long run of “Hamilton” at the Benedum concludes this weekend.
For the perhaps half-dozen people in southwestern Pennsylvania who haven’t yet seen it,, "Hamilton" is the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first treasury secretary.
“Hamilton” wraps up its incredible Pittsburgh run on Jan. 25 and 26 at 8 p.m. and Jan. 27 at 1 p.m at the Benedum Center, Downtown.

If you can’t get to the final weekend of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “Hamilton,” here’s your opportunity to see the show that vaulted the Broadway star to fame. In this Pittsburgh Musical Theater production, the hope of a winning lottery ticket hangs in the air of the streets in Manhattan, leaving the community on the brink of change. See the characters chase the American dream in hip-hop, pop, and Latin rhythms filled with the vibrant energy of the ever-bustling streets of Manhattan.

- Monroeville Home Show, Jan. 25, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m; Jan. 26 and 27, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monroeville Convention Center.
This trade show for homeowners has more than 200 exhibits featuring home improvement, remodeling, decorating, gardening, building and more. Special attractions and demonstrations also are offered.
Monroeville Home Show admission is $5 for adults. Children under 12 are free.
- NFL Play 60 Training Camp, Jan. 26, 10 a.m., Heinz History Center, Strip District.
Get off the couch and get active throughout the Heinz History Center and Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum at this year’s PLAY 60 training camp.
Activities include a mini NFL combine with a 40-yard dash, passing drills, and more, agility and quickness drills with local coaches, chances to win prizes throughout the day, full access to the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum, including the new Super Steelers and nockey exhibits and more.
All NFL PLAY 60 Training Camp activities and access to History Center exhibitions are free for kids ages 17 and under, courtesy of Dick’ss Sporting Goods. Regular museum admission applies for adults. Advance registration is not required.
