PITTSBURGH, PA — The Allegheny County Health Department has ordered the closure of Kirkland's Bussin Kitchen, on Broadway Avenue in McKees Rocks, for numerous health code violations.

A May 15 inspection found a lack of hot water to the facility, prepared foods lacking date marking,
inadequate cleaning and sanitization, insufficient handwashing facilities, lack of a certified food protection manager, failure to submit the appropriate food permit application, and open and operating without a food permit.

A "closed" placard is posted at an establishment when an imminent health hazard is identified at a restaurant or kitchen or if it has been operating without proper permits. It is unlawful to operate a food facility with a "closed" placard.
