Here's America's Best Front Yard: Better Homes & Gardens
The magazine says a Pittsburgh area home has the best front yard in America. Find out here what makes it so special.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Homes in the northeast don't normally have palms trees in their front yards. But the home owned by Kevin Prall, a horticulturist and landscape consultant in New Kensington, just northeast of Pittsburgh, has an amazing assortment of palms and other plants.
That's why the spectacularly decorated yard of Prall and his husband, Layne Bennett, has been named the winner of Better Homes & Gardens' first Best Front Yard In America contest. The yard was selected from more than 900 that were entered into the contest.
The yard was virtually void of plant life when the couple moved into the century-old home in 1911. Prall, who missed the palm trees he had when he lived in Florida, found some that could serve the brutal Pittsburgh winters and added azaleas, geraniums and other plans. The overall effect obviously impressed Better Homes & Gardens.
