Here's The Most Boring Town In PA
A website has concluded this small municipality is the dullest location in Pennsylvania.

Its utter lack of distinction is what finally provided the place with distinction. White Oak, a tiny borough on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, has been named Pennsylvania’s least interesting location.
The website BestLife compiled a list of the most boring towns in each state. What makes a place deadly dull? According to BestLife, “We’re talking towns where the average age is higher than the speed limit, where most of the citizens are married with kids and where the number of restaurants and venues can be counted on your fingers.”
The list drew from U.S. Census and American Community Service data to determine which places have the highest median ages, the fewest things to do and the lowest population density.
"It's essential to note, however, that these towns aren't all boring in the same way; some scored higher because there's very little to do there while other scored higher because there's so few people to do anything with," BestLife noted.

BestLife found White Oak boring based on its:
- Population: 7,794
- Size: 6.67 square miles
- Density (people per square mile: 1,165
- Median age: 52
- Percentage of population over 65: 24.1
- Percentage of family households: 59.5
- Number of hotels/restaurants: 22
Despite the boring designation, Patch found that it’s not as though there’s absolutely nothing to do in White Oak. People always can stop at the Twin Oaks Restaurant at the intersection of Route 48 and Lincoln Way, where the weekly specials this week include half-price flatbreads and appetizers.

There's also wing night on Thursday.
The borough also is home to Oak Park Mall, which is called a mall probably because that’s more interesting than labeling it what it really is - a modest shopping center anchored by a Giant Eagle supermarket , a Pet Supplies Plus and a Busy Beaver home supplies store.
The White Oak Recreation Board sponsors several activities throughout the year, including monthly dances for area middle school-aged kids at the White Oak Athletic Association gym.
The Recreation Board holds two craft shows each year and helps to organize the annual Community Day, held the first Sunday in August at the Heritage Hill Pool.
