Here's Your Chance To Launch Golf Balls From Heinz Field Stands

PITTSBURGH, PA - Seldom does the opportunity arise to hit golf balls from the stands of Heinz Field. That certainly wouldn’t be allowed during a Steelers game, lest an errant shot hit quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the head.

But no players will be on the field June 7-10 when Topgolf Crush comes to the North Shore stadium. In addition to food, drinks and music, people will be permitted to hit golf balls from the stands toward giant targets on the field. The targets will be illuminated at night to provide a video game atmosphere to the event.

The pop-up event is a sneak preview of a 65,000 square-foot Topgolf venue opening this summer in Bridgeville near the intersection of I-79 and I-50. Topgolf facilities feature dozens of high-tech, climate-controlled hitting bays for year-round use and serve food and drinks as well.

"The combination of food, music and friendly competition will give Pittsburgh a preview of the entertainment experience they can expect when our new venue opens in Bridgeville this summer.
