Hurricane Ian Remnants To Impact Pittsburgh Over Weekend

PITTSBURGH, PA — The remnants of the devastating Hurricane Ian will move over Southwestern Pennsylvania this weekend, but there is no need to be concerned. The impact will be minimal, according the the National Weather Service.
Current projections show the rain arriving here between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Saturday. The weather service forecasts Pittsburgh could see as much as a half-inch of rain on Saturday and as much as another half-inch overnight.
Areas to the south and east of the city have a far greater probability of seeing more excessive rainfall.

If you're going to the Steelers-New York Jets game on Sunday, there will be a slight chance of rain, but amounts are expected to total less than a tenth of an inch. Temperatures will be in the low 60s with wind gusts as high as 20 mph.
