Jacksonville Bakery Sends Steelers' Roethlisberger 7 Turnovers

The quarterback gets a pastry for each turnover he committed in two losses to the Jaguars this season.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Ouch. Adding insult to the injury of an ignominious playoff loss, a Jacksonville bakery is sending Ben Roethlisberger seven turnovers - one for each turnover the Steelers quarterback was responsible for in two games against the Jaguars this season.

Cinotti’s Bakery posted on its Facebook page an address label containing Roethlisberger’s name and a Heinz Field address and a message that appeared to gloat a bit, something victors often do.

“We appreciated the turnovers you gave us over our season, so in return we wanted you to get a taste of 7 turnovers,” the post stated. “So here are our very best apple, blueberry and cherry turnovers! Sincerely, the amazing City of Jacksonville - or as you know it, SACKSONVILLE.”

Roethlisberger threw five interceptions in a regular season loss to the Jaguars in October at Heinz Field. He threw another in the Steelers 45-42 divisional playoff loss at Heinz Field Sunday, and also had a fumble that the Jaguars returned for a touchdown. The Jaguars face the New England Patriots Sunday in the AFC championship game, with the victor advancing to Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.

Reaction to the gag on Cinotti’s Facebook page was mixed.

“I don't find this funny at all. This is in bad form,” one woman posted. “You just ensured I'll never step foot inside your bakery. (For the record, I am a Steelers fan. Even if I were a Jags fan, this would still be in poor form. Makes Jax look like sore winners).”

Another woman didn’t take the post so seriously.

“Steelers fan here!! HILARIOUS!,” she stated. “If you could find a way to sell the ‘Steelers Bundle’ and ship out of state, I'm on it!”
