Jazz Festival, Outlaw Festival Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events
Looking for something fun to do this weekend? As always, Patch has you covered.

In a career that has spanned more than 50 years, Patti LaBelle has sold more than 50 million records, won multiple Grammy Awards and made Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 greatest singers of all time. Not a bad career, no?
LaBelle, who had a series of hits in the 1970s and 80s, will be in town Friday to headline the ninth annual Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival. Occurring June 20 through June 23, the festival is a series of free Downtown concerts and ticketed events at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center.
LaBelle will perform at the August Wilson Center June 21 at 8 p.m. Other artists performing at the festival include Chales Lloyd, Stanley Clarke, Butcher Brown, Sean Jones and WAR. For a full festival schedule, click on the link.

- PizzaFest: A Slice Of Delish, June 23, The Pennsylvania Market, Strip District.
Here's a chance to sample some of the burgh's best artisan pizzas straight from the oven, consume complimentary samples of select craft beers, wine and cocktails, enjoy live music and more. The pizza artisans include Mediterra Bakehouse, IronBorn, Romulus, Driftwood Oven and Mercurio's.
- Pirates vs. San Diego Padres, June 21, 7:05 p.m; June 22, 4:05 p.m. and June 23, 1:35 p.m., PNC Park.
The injury-laden Pirates conclude a brief hometand this weekend and when they return after a road trip to Houston and Milwaukee they could be hopelessly out of contention. So why not see them before your attention turns to the Steelers’ upcoming training camp opening? Friday is Zambelli Fireworks Night, Saturday is Faith Night and Sunday is Kids’ Josh Bell Alternate Black Jersey Day.
- The Royal Affair Tour, June 21, 5:30 p.m., Stage AE, North Shore.
For classic rock fans, it doesn’t get much better than this. The full night of entertainment includes performances by Yes, Asia, John Lodge of The Moody Blues and Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy with vocals by British singer Arthur Brown. The show starts so early apparently because these aging rockers aren’t used to staying up late anymore.
