Jimmy Buffett's Pittsburgh Concert: Long Lines, Short Tempers

Many fans missed most of the show while standing in KeyBank Pavilion security lines.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Thousands of Jimmy Buffet fans were left furious Saturday night because of prolonged delays in entering KeyBank Pavilion to see the popular singer. No reason was given for the virtually stationary security lines that caused many ticket holders to miss most of the concert.

Fans left blistering comments on the Burgettstown concert venue’s Facebook page following the event.

“We waited in line from 730 to 9:15,” one person wrote. “We saw about four songs and then spent an hour leaving the parking lot because there were two lot attendants and nobody was being directed in any kind of way. So wild. I'll never go back until Live Nation is no longer operating KeyBank.”

Wrote another disgruntled attendee: “Got in line at the upper lot at 7 and sat in our seats at 9! Unacceptable. And as if the lines weren't bad enough, each and every staff person was rude and unapologetic. They were screaming at the crowds, saying people will be arrested, Not helpful.”

Live Nation issued a statement on the delays that did not explain why they occurred and did not indicate if fans who missed most of the show could obtain refunds.
