Joan Jett To Headline Pittsburgh Light-Up Night Festivities
The legendary rocker is bringing her scorching live act to town to kick off the city's annual holiday celebration.

PITTSBURGH, PA — If you love rock and roll, and you love the holiday season, you will love this news: Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will be the headlining musical act at this year's Highmark Light-Up Night, which traditionally kicks off the city's holiday festivities.
Jett, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member, will perform at the Nov. 19 event.
Additional free musical performances and a 9:30 p.m. Zambelli fireworks display also are among the evening's highlights, according to the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership.

Earlier in the day, a family block party will occur at noon at Penn Avenue and Stanwix Street. The event will feature Disney tribute band The Little Mermen, as well as a Pirates mini-fest featuring the Parrot, racing pierogies, balloon artists, face painting and inflatables.
Tree lightings at various Downtown locations will begin at 5 p.m.
