KDKA-AM Splitting Marty Griffin-Wendy Bell On-Air Team

The talk show hosts soon will have their own separate shows.

PITTSBURGH, PA - KDKA-AM radio is ending the Marty Griffin-Wendy Bell tandem after eight months. The station announced that it is "giving in to listener demand" and will give each on-air personality their own talk show beginning Sept. 3.

Since January, Griffin and Bell have co-hosted the afternoon drive slot from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Bell will keep most of that shift, while Griffin will return to the morning show he hosted prior to teaming with Bell.

The new on-air lineup:

  • 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.: Larry Richert and john Shumway.
  • 9 a.m. to noon: Griffin
  • Noon to 3 p.m.: Lynne Hayes-Freeland
  • 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Bell
  • 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.: Rob Pratte, Monday and Tuesday' Robert Mangino, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
