Kennywood To Close Two Days A Week For Rest Of Season
The West Mifflin amusement park announced the move on Friday.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Kennywood announced on Friday that the amusement park will only be open five days per week the rest of the season.
"With two weeks of learning about this new environment, we're making some changes to our operating calendar," park officials said in a Facebook post.
"Effective immediately, we will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays going forward. We will be open on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 7). While we will continue to closely monitor attendance and limit capacity per state regulations, Guests can feel comfortable visiting without having RSVP'ed
in advance."

Kennywood opened for the season on July 11 with the following coronavirus-related safety measures in place:
- Face coverings are required for all personnel and guests.
- All personnel and guests have their temperatures taken before entering.
- Capacity is being limited to encourage social distancing.
- Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the parks. Sanitizing teams work throughout the park, particularly focused on high-touch areas.
- Enhanced cleanliness and safety education are being provided to staff.
