The West Mifflin amusement park is opening up its Phantom Fall Festival to the canine crowd.

WEST MIFFLIN, PA — Dogs usually aren't permitted in Kennywood, but the amusement park soon will admit canines for its first Dogtober Fest Halloween Parade & Costume Contest.
Dog owners can bring their four-legged friends for a parade that will be followed by a costume contest to recognize the cutest, creepiest and most creative costumes before the park opens for the day.
The event will occur Oct. 22 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
