Kennywood Ride Nationally Lauded

WEST MIFFLIN, PA — Kennywood has received another national accolade. Spinvasion, the first multi-action spin ride of its kind in the nation was voted as one of the top 10 best new theme park attractions in the country in the USA Today 10 Best Reader’s Choice Awards.

The news comes off a big year of awards for the amusement park, including a win for Holiday Lights, which secured a top 10 spot for the second year in a row for best theme park holiday event in another USA Today poll.

The park also received the Renaissance Award from the Amusement Today Golden Ticket Awards, honoring Kennywood’s continuation of its massive multi-year transformation project to upgrade the guest experience.

Between the park-wide transformation and return of the iconic Kangaroo ride to the additions of new attractions likeSpinvasion and new culinary options like Primanti Bros. and 1898 Coffee Co., the park underwent an overhaul while continuing to honor adored Kennywood traditions from the past 125 years.

For the 2024 season, the park’s bumper car ride will undergo a total transformation, including 20 new cars themed to Kennywood’s legendary Potato Patch fries.
