Kennywood Wins National Amusement Park Honors
The National Amusement Park Historical Association lauded the West Mifflin amusement park.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Kennywood took several honors in the annual National Amusement Park Historical Society members' 33rd annual members' survey. The park was named the second-best traditional park, finishing behind only behind Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA.
The Phantom's Revenge was named the favorite steel coaster, while the Jack Rabbit was the second-favorite wooden coaster. Kennywood's Holiday Lights finished in a second-place tie with Dolleywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas for favorite post-summer season amusement park event.
The survey, the oldest of its type, is highly regarded within the amusement park industry and within enthusiasts’ circles. According to the association, its members typically are experienced
riders who have visited countless amusement parks and have ridden a diverse assortment of roller coasters and other rides.
