Kennywood's Phantom Fall Fest Recieves National Recognition

WEST MIFFLIN, PA — Kennywood's Phantom Fall Fest has been named the 4th best theme park Halloween event in the country by USA Today 10BEST.

The USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards are selected by the public from a group of nominees chosen by USA TODAY 10BEST editors and industry experts.

Phantom Fall Fest runs weekends through November 1 and offers Halloween fun for the whole family. During the day, guests can enjoy trick-or-treating, seasonal activities and a new fall food tasting, while evenings bring haunted houses, roaming scares and the thrills of Kennywood after dark.

"Balancing family-friendly fun during the day with more intense scares as the night progresses, Phantom Fall Fest at Kennywood has Halloween thrills for everyone.

"After the sun sets, traverse seven sinister haunts and four scare zones filled with full-on frights. Seasonal food and specialty drinks are fun wind-down treats after riding the Phantom's Revenge, which is especially scary surrounded by a thick fog in the dark of night."

Kennywood has offered new attractions to the event this year. During the day, families can explore Ghostwood Estate during all-new trick-or-treating. Foodies can taste their way around the Lagoon at Kennywood’s new Fall Fest Tasting Experience, featuring five stops with seasonal favorites from baked apple dumplings and pumpkin cheesecake to pierogies, bratwurst and smoked mac and cheese.
