Kennywood's Steel Curtain Already Drawing Rave Reviews

The colossal new Kennywood attraction is being dubbed the world's most extreme new coaster for 2019.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Construction isn’t even complete on Kennywood’s new Steel Curtain and already it’s drawing rave reviews. The coaster was ranked first in the list of top 10 extreme coasters for 2019 by Blooloop, an online resource for professionals in the attractions industry encompassing theme parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums and more.

In grabbing the top slot, the coaster beat out others under construction in Japan, Belgium, China, Holland, Finland and several in the United States.

The Steel Curtain “might be the most extreme new coaster in the world for 2019,” Blooloop reviewer Lance Hart raved. “The Steel Curtain features a unique layout unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It also breaks two records: tallest roller coaster in Pennsylvania and the tallest inversion in the world at 197 feet.”
