Kennywood's Thomas Town: Get Your First Look Inside
Watch Patch's video inside the West Mifflin amusement park's much-anticipated $8 million addition.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Kennywood on Tuesday gave people its first look inside Thomas Town, the new $8 million attraction featuring the popular Thomas the Tank Engine childrens book series.
While Kennywood officials say Thomas Town will open soon, they did not provide a specific date for its debut.

Thomas Town includes:
- Journey With Thomas: The Thomas-themed train ride will take passengers along the back side of Kennywood, with spectacular views of the Monongahela River and the Edgar Thomson Works.
- Harold's Helicopter Tour: Kids can take control of their own Harold Helicopter and pilot him up and down as they spin around.
- Flynn's Fire Training: Junior firefighters shoot water to extinguish flames on the interactive ride.
- Diesel Drivers: Kids get to climb aboard Diesel, Iron Bert and other engines for a fun ride.
- Cranky's Drop Tower: This 45-foot tower ride lifts the kids up for a thrilling view of the park and then sends them back down to earth.
