Meteorologist Kevin Benson Out At WPXI-TV
Benson's departure comes on the heels of a recent DUI arrest.

PITTSBURGH, PA - Longtime WPXI-TV weatherman Kevin Benson has left the station after more than 30 years. His departure comes following a recent DUI arrest in Washington County.
WPXI news director Scott Trabrandt confirmed Benson's departure to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette but declined further comment.
Benson, 60, of Cecil, was arrested in September after being pulled over by a state trooper on Interstate 70 and being unable to complete a sobriety test. A blood test taken at a hospital revealed he had a blood alcohol content of 0.311. The legal limit for driving in Pennsylvania is 0.08.

Benson was charged with three misdemeanor DUI counts and four vehicle code violations.
Benson had been on the air at WPXI since 1987. He has worked at radio stations in DuBois and Erie and worked at WTAE-AM before joining WPXI.
