Kirsten Gillibrand To Bring Presidential Campaign To Pittsburgh

The Democratic presidential hopeful will be in town to kick off her "Trump Broken Promises Tour."

PITTSBURGH, PA - New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand will be in Pittsburgh to start a six-city presidential campaign swing. She'll meet with health care workers at the Hilton Garden Inn from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in an event open to the public.

Gillibrand is launching her "Trump Broken Promises Tour" in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan - states the Barack Obama won in 2012 but ones that President Donald Trump won in 2016.

She's the third Democratic hopeful to stop in Pittsburgh during the 2020 presidential campaign. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders held a rally at Schenley Plaza in Oakland and former Vice President Joe Biden launched his presidential bid here in April.

Gillibrand is significantly behind both men in national polling. In most surveys, she is getting between 0 and 1 percent and is nestled between Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan and Washington Gov. Jay Inslee.
