Lady Antebellum, Park Fairs Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - If you’re a country music fan in Pittsburgh, you’re in for an incredible weekend at KeyBank Pavilion.
On Friday, the Outlaw Music Festival will bring Willie Nelson & Family, Van Morrison, Sturgill Simpson, Brandi Carlile, Lukas Nelson + Promise of the Real, Particle Kid and The Commonheart. With so many acts performing, the show starts at 2:30 p.m., so you want to head out early to Burgettstown.
On Saturday, Lany Antebellum and Darius Rucker will perform at the outdoor shed. The country trio and former Hootie and the Blowfish singer have been co-headlining a summer tour. Lady Antebellum's most recent album, "Heart Break," was released in June 2017. Rucker's most recent, "When Was The Last Time," debuted in October 2017.

- A Fair in the Park, Sept. 7, 1 to 7 p.m.; Sept 8, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sept. 9, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mellon Park.
An estimated 20,000 people will descend on the park this weekend for the 49th annual fair presented by the Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh. They’ll encounter more than 100 regional and national artists working in a variety of mediums including clay, fiber, wood, jewelry, glass, metal, mixed media, and two-dimensional art. There also will be kids activities and food trucks such as Mac & Gold Truck, PitaLand, Randita’s, South Side BBQ Company, Wood Fired Flatbreads and Zeke’s Coffee Pittsburgh.
A Fair in the Park is free.

This third annual fundraiser benefiting the Allegheny County Parks Foundation will feature local craft beer and food tasting to live music by The Armadillos and PM Mirror. Vendors include Rivertowne Brewing, east End Brewing Company, Hofbrauhaus Pittsburgh, Threadbare Cider and Mead, Wigle Whiskey and many more.
Pour at the Park tickets, which include access to beverages, food and a stainless steel cup, are $55. You must be 21 or older. Discounted tickets are available for children 12 and older for food and non-alcoholic drinks.

This new production concludes its Pittsburgh run this weekend. Expect to hear all of your favorite songs from the film, as well as some breathtaking special effects as this timeless story is told of how one lamp and three wishes can provide for infinite possibilities. If you're looking for a fun, family-oriented night out, this performance is for you.

Bilmey, mate! There sure will be a touch of jolly old England evident around Pittsburgh this week as the fourth annual Britsburgh Festival takes place. The six-day event, sponsored by the nonprofit British-American Connections Pittsburgh, spotlights the city's many ties to the United Kingdom. The dozens of events scattered around town include dinners, Downton Abbey-themed teas, walking tours and Shakespeare workshops.
