Inspectors found other violations at this popular Oakland eatery.

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Allegheny County Health Department has issued a consumer alert for Little Asia restaurant at 301 South Craig Street in Oakland after inspectors observed two live rats in the basement prep kitchen. One rat would found behind a water heater, while the other climbed up shelving into ductwork above.

Inspectors also found rat droppings in a bulk salt bin and in a box of rice noodles. Droppings also were observed under a refrigerator in the basement prep area.

Inspectors found that the bottoms of cutting boards on prep units covered with a mold-like and slime-like substance and were not being properly sanitized.
