Major Oakland Street Closed For Construction
The street will be closed for at least a month, officials said.
PITTSBURGH, PA — Beeler Street is closed at Forbes Avenue in Oakland to facilitate construction of a new Carnegie Mellon University residence hall. The street will be closed for a month and lane restrictions will be in place for three weeks after that.
The detour will be Morewood Avenue to Fifth Avenue to Wilkins Avenue and back to Beeler.
Port Authority’s Route 67-Monroeville will follow the detour to Wilkins.

The four-story dormitory residence hall will house 266 students.
