PITTSBURGH, PA — Over the next several days, it likely will be hot enough in Western Pennsylvania to fry an egg on the sidewalk if you're into such things.

The National Weather Service is predicting rising temperatures after today's expected high of around 85.

  • Thursday: A chance of afternoon storms, with a high near 91.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 96.
  • Saturday: A chance of storms, with a high near 90.

Temperatures will return to more seasonable levels on Sunday, with an expected high in the low 80s.
