Major Pittsburgh Highway Closed After Multi-Vehicle Accident

A portion of Route 28 southbound is shut down as emergency personnel respond to the multi-vehicle crash.

UPDATED, 10:14 a.m.: The crash has been cleared and all lanes of southbound Route 28 are open to traffic. Motorists should expect residual delays and use caution in the area.

UPDATED, 9:55 a.m.: Traffic is now using a single lane to get by the crash as crews and emergency personnel work to clear the scene, according to PennDOT.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Southbound Route 28 is closed to traffic between the Harmar-I-76 Pennsylvania Turnpike-Route 910 (Exit 11) off-ramp and the Harmar on-ramp.
