Major Pittsburgh Music Festival Abruptly Canceled

A new Pittsburgh music festival featuring nationally known performers will not take place.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A two-day music festival slated for Hazelwood Green in September suddenly was canceled Tuesday, the event's organizers announced.

The Killers and SZA were announced as headliners for the festival, from the producers of Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo. Among the nationally known acts that were scheduled to perform were Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa, St. Vincent and Crowded House.

No reason was given for the cancellation by the organizers, who previously have produced events such as Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo.
