Man Dies After Shooting In Pittsburgh Neighborhood

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man was shot and killed in the city's Sheraden neighborhood on Wednesday night.

Just before 7:30 p.m., city police, fire and EMS workers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Pritchard Street for reports of a male shooting victim.

They found a man in a residence with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

Witnesses told officers that the victim and another man were n involved in an altercation before the shooting.

The suspect was taken to police headquarters for questioning.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner will identify the victim.

The suspect in the case has yet to be identified.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.

The investigation is ongoing.
