Man Severely Wounded At Pittsburgh Convenience Store

PITTSBURGH, PA —One man is in custody after an altercation that left a man in critical condition Tuesday at an A-Plus store on North Craig Street in the city's Oakland section.

Just after 8 p.m., Pittsburgh Police responded to reports of a fight after a male was throwing items at employees inside the store. The fight ensued when the male punched one of the employees and two other employees also jumped in.

The employee who was punched then reportedly picked up a piece of PVC pipe from behind the counter and struck the man in the head with it after chasing him out of the store into the parking lot.

After reviewing store video of the incident, police arrested store employee Yubaraj Budhathoki and charged him with two felony counts of aggravated assault and one count of recklessly endangering another person. He is being housed in the Allegheny County Jail.
