Man Shot Dead In East End, Pittsburgh Police Say

Two ShotSpotter alerts indicated 14 rounds​ had been fired, police said. A man with several gunshot wounds was pronounced dead at the scene.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man is dead after a shooting Sunday night in Pittsburgh's Larimer neighborhood, police said.

Officers in Zone 5 arrived to the 6500 block of Shetland Street just after 10 p.m., after two ShotSpotter alerts indicated 14 rounds had been fired, according to a post from Pittsburgh Police.

Officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, and medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police say there is no suspect information at this time, and have not identified the victim. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating, the Bureau of Police said.
