Man Shot Near Nationally Renowned Pittsburgh Restaurant
A man was critically wounded early Wednesday near one of Pittsburgh's most popular dining spots.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A man was shot early Wednesday near the Monterey Bay Fish Grotto in Duquesne Heights. The shooting occurred at around 3 a.m. in the 1400 block of Grandview Avenue.
The victim was shot multiple times and is in critical condition, Pittsburgh public safety officials said.
The section of Grandview between Plymouth and Sweetbriar streets remained closed early Wednesday. Evidence also was being gathered near the popular Point of View Park, a tourist
destination offers a stunning view of the city and also is known for the statue of George Washington meeting with the Seneca leader Guyasuta in 1770.

Monterey Bay was closed when the shooting occurred. Located atop an apartment building, the restaurant offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the city.
Last month, the eatery was named one of the nation's most romantic restaurants by Open Table, a restaurant booking website. Monterey Bay also has been lauded in the past for being one of the country's most scenic restaurants. Mick Jagger was spotted there when the Rolling Stones performed in Pittsburgh in October.
