Man Stabbed In Pittsburgh: Latest Update

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man initially was critically wounded in a stabbing that occurred late Wednesday in a residence in East Liberty.

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Pittsburgh police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to the 700 block of Collins Street. Arriving responders found a man with a stab wound to his torso.

He was transported to a hospital in critical condition. His condition later was upgraded to stable, Pittsburgh Public Safety officials said.

Police said the stabbing resulted from a familial confrontation.

The suspect has not yet been identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
