Man Struck And Killed By Car In Pittsburgh

A man in his late 50s was struck and killed by a vehicle Wednesday night in Pittsburgh, police said.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A man in his 50s died Wednesday night after being struck by a car in the 2100 block of Liberty Avenue in the city's Strip District.

The fatal incident occurred at around 8 p.m., according to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials.

First responders found the man in grave condition. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The preliminary investigation indicates the man stepped off the sidewalk and he was not in a designated crosswalk.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene and was cooperative with officers, officials said.
