Man 'Went Crazy' Before Stabbing At Pittsburgh-Area Hotel: Reports
William Kennet Evans Jr. was arrested Wednesday following the stabbing at Hostetter Hotel in Unity Township, reports said.

WESTMORELAND COUNTY, PA — A Hostetter man is facing multiple charges after authorities said he stabbed another man at a Westmoreland County hotel and told state troopers that he wished the victim would have died, according to reports and court documents.
William Kennet Evans Jr., 62, was arrested Wednesday following the altercation at Hostetter Hotel in Unity Township. According to court documents, he was charged with several counts including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 6, according to court documents.

According to a criminal complaint obtained by TribLive.com, state police responded to the hotel around 3:30 p.m. Reports said Evans and the victim were drinking in Evans' room when he "went crazy all of a sudden."
Reports said Evans hit the victim in the head before grabbing a knife and stabbing him in the torso.

A WTAE report said the victim ran from the room, grabbed a fire extinguisher and sprayed Evans with it to stop the attack.
According to reports, Evans made comments to state police saying that he wished he would have killed the victim.
The victim was taken to AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, reports said. His current condition is unknown.
