Man Who Stabbed Pittsburgh Transit Bus Rider Charged: Police
Transit authorities said Adrian Dunston stabbed another passenger on a bus in Hazelwood on Tuesday before fleeing.
PITTSBURGH, PA — A man who authorities said stabbed another passenger on a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus earlier this week is facing multiple charges following his arrest, according to authorities.
Adrian Dunston, 23, was charged with aggravated assault, attempted homicide, and other charges after authorities said he stabbed a passenger multiple times on a bus in Hazelwood on Tuesday morning, a Port Authority spokesperson told Patch.
The spokesperson said Dunston had no identification on him at the time of his arrest and refused to provide his name.

According to a news release, the stabbing occurred around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday on a 56-Lincoln Place bus near Second and Flowers avenues. Dunston fled the scene following the incident but was caught by police 30 minutes later, authorities said.
The victim was taken to UPMC Mercy in critical condition. They remained hospitalized on Thursday, authorities said.

Dunston was also taken to the hospital for treatment of cuts on his hands.
Approximately 12 people were on the bus at the time of the stabbing, authorities said. No other injuries were reported.
