Maria Scanga Joins Communication Solutions Group as Communications Specialist
She will primarily provide communications services to the Hampton Township School District, a client of Communication Solutions since 2010.

The Communication Solutions Group is excited to welcome Maria Scanga as the newest member of its team in the role of Communications Specialist.
In this position, she will primarily provide communications services to the Hampton Township School District, an education client of Communication Solutions Group since 2010. Her responsibilities will include writing articles for Hampton’s publications, social media management, and publicity for the school district’s initiatives and events.
Scanga made a name for herself in journalism at The Pitt News, where her engaging and informative news stories in a reputable and relied-upon news outlet helped her rise quickly through the ranks. Her consistent top-performing work earned her a promotion to Senior Staff Writer, where she continued to build a strong foundation in journalism and reporting.

Her writing acumen made Scanga the top contender for the Communications Specialist role at Hampton. It also did not hurt that she knew the area well, and in fact, grew up in the neighboring school district of Deer Park.
“Maria brings a strong news sense, a connection to the Hampton community and a well-rounded skill set to the team,” said Leza Raffel, President and Founder of Communication Solutions.

“I’m excited to transition my reporting experience into a public relations position that looks at news through a lens of positivity,” Scanga shared.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing with a concentration in Gender and Women’s Studies degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
