Market Square Farmers Market To Kick Off 14th Season
The weekly event, pairing fresh food for sale and live entertainment, begins May 10.

PITTSBURGH, PA - A popular Downtown attraction resumes May 10 as the Market Square Farmers Market begins its 14th season. The market will occur every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through October.
The event has proven popular in the past. According to the market organizers, each week during the season as many as 10,000 people crowd Market Square to enjoy fresh grocery finds, gourmet treats and fresh fruits and vegetables.
More than 30 vendors will be on hand. Among the items available will be fresh-cut flowers, live herb plants, fresh fruit and vegetables, organic milk and cheese, honey, yarn, breads, cakes, and fresh-pressed juices.

There also will be prepared foods ready for lunch.In addition, free afternoon concerts will occur from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m., featuring an array of diverse performances ranging from acoustic local musicians to the Pittsburgh Opera Resident Performers.Special events will return to the Farmers Market this year, including Christmas in July celebrations, Irish Day, Navy Week entertainment, and the year-end Halloween bash.
