Metallica To Perform Pittsburgh Stadium Show

Pittsburgh is one of only two cities where Metallica will perform a stadium show this summer.

PITTSBURGH, PA — Heavy metal juggernauts Metallica say they will only perform two stadium shows this summer and one of them will be in Pittsburgh. The band will play at PNC Park on Aug. 14, three days after a show at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo.

The opening acts will be Greta Van Fleet and Ice Nine Kills.

This will be Metallica's first Pittsburgh stadium show since 1992, when James Hetfield and company performed at Three Rivers Stadium.

Metallica pre-sale tickets will be available Feb. 28 to Legacy Fan Club members at 9 a.m. and general fan club members at 11 a.m. General ticket sales begin on March 4.
