Millions Raised For Trump Assassination Attempt Shooting Victims
Two separate fundraising efforts for the shooting victims, one authorized by former President Donald Trump, have been successfully launched.

BUTLER, PA — Two separate fundraising campaigns have raised nearly $6 million on behalf of the spectators shot Saturday during the assassination attempt on Republican presidential nominee former President Donald Trump.
One is a Trump-authorized GoFundMe campaign that had raised $4.7 million as of Tuesday morning for the three shooting victims. A second GoFundMe fundraiser to benefit the family of the one who died raised $1.1 million as of Tuesday.
Corey Comperatore, 50, of Sarver, Butler County, died while shielding family members from shots fired by Thomas Matthew Crooks, who was perched on a nearby rooftop. The other spectators who were shot, David Dutch, 57, of New Kensington, and James Coperhaver, 74, of Moon, both were listed in stable condition by the Pennsylvania State Police.

More than 62,000 people have contributed to the campaign. The largest amounts given thus have been $50,000 made by various donors including:

- Popular recording artist Kid Rock.
- Casino developer Stephen Wynn.
- Citadel hedge fund CEO Kenneth Griffin.
The campaign strictly for Comperatore was organized by Jason Bubb on behalf of the slain man's daughter, Allyson. More than 20,000 donations have been received so far.
People can pay their respects to Comperatore on Thursday from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Laube Hall in Freeport on Community Park Road. Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the Cabot Methodist Church 707 Winfield Road, Cabot, PA 16023; or the Buffalo Township Fire Hall, 565 Sarver Road, Sarver PA 16055.
