Miranda Lambert, Little Italy Days Top Pittsburgh Weekend Events

PITTSBURGH, PA - Country music fans will love this double bill. Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town are co-headlining the Bandwagon Tour this summer and are appearing at KeyBank Pavilion for a 7 p.m. show on Friday.
Lambert has been touring to promote her most recent album, 2016's "The Weight of these Wings," which won the Academy of Country Music's Album of the Year Award last year. Little Big Town was named Vocal Group of the Year at both the ACMs and the Country Music Awards on the strength of its latest album "The Breaker."
Lambert and Little Big Town previously collaborated on "Smokin' & Drinkin'" from Lambert's 2014 LP "Platinum."

- Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs, Aug. 16-18, 7:05 p.m.; Aug. 19, 1:35 p.m., PNC Park
How can you not take in one of these games? The Pirates, on the fringes of the NL wild card playoff hunt, take on the division-leading Cubs, whom they have no realistic chance of beating out for the NL Central Division title. Friday is Free Shirt Friday, Saturday features a Zambelli fireworks display and Sunday is Kids’ W.B. Mason Collectible Truck Day.

- Little Italy Days, Aug. 16, 6-9 p.m.; Aug. 17,18, noon-9 p.m., Aug. 19, noon-6 p.m., Liberty Avenue, Bloomfield.
Little Italy Days started in 2002 to celebrate Bloomfield’s Italian heritage, and create a destination spot for Italian-themed entertainment and food. The event has grown through the years and is now lasts four days. There will be live music, cooking demonstrations and a celebrity bocce tournament featuring Franco Harris, Roberto Clemente Jr, Mangino and more.
Little Italy Days are free.
- Vincentian Rocks, Aug. 19, 5:30 p.m. , Jergel's Rhythm Grille, Wexford.
Another all-star Pittsburgh cast has been assembled for the second annual Vincentian Rocks benefit concert. You’ll see the legendary Donnie Iris plus 'burgh mainstays Joe Grushecky, Kelsey Friday from Kelsey Friday & the Rest of the Week, and Clinton Clegg with music by the Houserockers. An event put together by Vincentian's good friend Rick Witkowski, and all proceeds benefit seniors living at Vincentian Senor Communities.
Vincentian Rocks tickets are $30.
- Cuisine, Cocktails & Comedy, Aug. 18, 6 p.m., South Baldwin Social Club, Baldwin
Enjoy an evening of food tastings from The Yard, Getaway Cafe, Cyd West Comfort Catering, and many more. Local comedians Mike Sasson, Bob Testa, Brandon Schell and Chris Scriva will provide laughs and those guys don’t make you giggle, you always can try your hand at axe-throwing by Woodchuckers.
