PITTSBURGH, PA - After being closed for three months for repairs to damage that occurred following a massive water main break, the Monongahela Incline is slate to reopen on Friday.

Port Authority officials said Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry inspectors authorized the reopening of the incline on Thursday. The incline was closed on February 4 after a water main break in front of the incline on Grandview Aveune caused significant flooding damage.

The Port Authority has been running shuttle buses between the incline's upper and lower stations while the incline was being repaired. Those will be discontinued Friday.
