Mt. Washington's P.J. McArdle Roadway To Close Again
Find out here when the heavily-traveled link between Mt. Washington and the Liberty Bridge will be closed.
PITTSBURGH, PA - P.J. McCardle Roadway, which connects Mt. Washington to the Liberty Bridge and tunnel, will be closed February 9 and 10 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. so a contractor can remove debris along the roadway.
According to the city Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, the work is preventive maintenance on erosion of the hillside above the roadway. No posted detours will be provided. Motorists can use the Liberty Tunnel to northbound Route 51 to Woodruff Street to Merrimac to get around the closure.
