Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Squirrel Hill Tunnel, Snarls Traffic

The crash occurred during the Wednesday morning rush hour.

UPDATED, 9:50 a.m.: The inbound lanes of the tunnel have reopened. The outbound lanes remain closed.

PITTSBURGH, PA — All lanes of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel were closed following a multi-vehicle crash on the outbound side Wednesday morning.

There is a full closure of both the inbound and outbound lanes of the Parkway East between exits 74 and 77.

There is no word yet on when the tunnel will reopen.

It's currently unclear how many vehicles were involved in the crash or if anyone was injured.
