Mystery Surrounds Shooting In Pittsburgh

A key question remains unanswered regarding a shooting in Pittsburgh Tuesday.

PITTSBURGH, PA — A shooting in Pittsburgh left a man wounded Tuesday evening, but police remain uncertain precisely where it occurred.

At approximately 8:25 p.m., Pittsburgh police were dispatched to the 400 block of Brownsville Road in Knoxville for reports of a male shot.

Arriving officers were initially unable to locate a victim in the vicinity. Approximately twenty minutes later, a neighboring jurisdiction informed Pittsburgh police they had a male in their care who matched the victim description.

The man had suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics; and was transported in stable condition by Pittsburgh EMS to an area hospital.

The victim was uncooperative with officers and a crime scene has still not been located.
