National Doughnut Day: Where To Get A Free Sweet Treat

PITTSBURGH, PA - To say doughnuts are popular in Pittsburgh is an understatement. On National Doughnut Day, June 7, Pittsburghers will consume more than 100,000 of the taste treats at the 52 Dunkin' stores in western Pennsylvania.

According to Dunkin', the number of donuts consumed in Pittsburgh on National Doughnut Day is more than twice as many served on any other day of the year. Dunkin’ expects to customers to consume more than 15,000 glazed, 10,000 Boston Creme and 5,000 Pittsburgh Creme doughnuts on Friday.

To help celebrate the occasion, Dunkin' is giving away a free classic doughnut with the purchase of any beverage on Friday. In addition, Duck Donuts and Krispy Kreme also are giving away free doughnuts with a limit of one per customer.
