National Sandwich Day: Where To Get Free Or Discounted Sandwiches
Several chains, including Subway, are offering sandwich deals on Friday.

PITTSBURGH, PA - National Sandwich Day is celebrated annually on Nov. 3, and with good reason. It’s the birthday of the late Earl of Sandwich, who, as legend has it, came up with the idea of putting meat between two slices of bread when he got hungry during a marathon poker game.
When you’re hungry on Friday, it’s possible to get free or discounted sandwiches as part of National Sandwich Day festivities. Among the restaurants offering deals:
Arby’s
Sign up for the eatery’s email alerts and you’ll get a free roast beef sandwich with the purchase of a soft drink.

Firehouse Subs
If you are one of the first 50 orders for any size Hook & Ladder sub on Friday, you will also get free chips & medium drink with a medium or large sub purchase on your next visit, as well as a custom sub enamel pin.
Penn Station East Coast Subs
On Friday, you can get any 6-inch sub for $3.99 from 4-9 p.m. No coupon is necessary, but you have to ask for the deal.. Limit one per person. Valid at participating locations.

Quizno’s
On Friday, you can get an eight-inch Classic Italian for just $5 at all participating locations.
Subway
Get a free sub when you buy any sub and a 30 oz drink. The free sub must be of equal of lesser price. Subway will donate a meal to Feeding America for every sub and 30 oz drink purchased.
